A native, low-footprint C++/SDL3 desktop IDE focused on editor, diff, merge, git, search, terminal, and debugging workflows. Open source, private, no telemetry. Built for responsiveness on commodity hardware: it runs on a software renderer and uses the GPU only to speed up text when one is present. Hot paths, startup, typing, scrolling, diff, and search, are guarded by an automated performance harness with committed baselines, so regressions fail the build instead of shipping.

The moment is pinned to your transcript at the exact timestamp. Trace provides you with clear markdown transcripts and summaries that you can use anywhere. Either copy the markdown from Trace directly or have it place the file anywhere in your filesystem. Trace can also send files directly to Obsidian, Bear, Drafts or Things with a button press.
