3 Ways to use Kanban cards for business

Every business owner is looking for ways to make their company more efficient. One of the greatest ways to accomplish this goal is to keep track of employees’ time on task and create ways for people to work together on a task so that it can be accomplished faster. Communication is another critical component to having an efficient operation as your employees need to be kept abreast of pertinent information in record time. There is a new way to conduct business and keep track of employee performance and time on task. It is called Kanbanize and it is quite a popular trend in tracking whether your company is operating to its fullest capacity. In this article, we will highlight some of the best ways that you can use a Kanban card for your business.

  1. Kanban boards. These boards allow you to keep track of your employees’ time on task and the efficiency of your team. The beauty of this board is that it allows you to see how your team is performing as a group. You can also use the board to show your employees how well they are doing on task and in which areas need improvement. The ability to have all of your tasks on one board along with those assigned to them is beneficial and can help the team work faster and smarter as they know the overall goals of the organization.
  2. Provide documentation for tasks. Using a Kanban card is a great way to provide documentation and extra information for your staff on the projects and tasks they are working on. For example, if your employee is working on a project and another employee finished up on a project, you can have them work together and keep track of their progress with the Kanban card. You can also provide the employees with additional information that they could use to do their jobs better.
  3. Analytics. When using the Kanban system, you have the ability to track the progress of your employees’ projects, time on task, and level of productivity. By doing so, you will have access to a variety of analytic information. Some information you may find particularly helpful include but are not limited to a cycle time scatter plot that shows how long a project will take your employees, or a cycle time and block map. A cycle time and block map will show you where the workload is likely to get stuck in progress. This will help you identify where the weak points are your current process so that you can fix them before they cause your company a potential loss.

Staying on top of tasks and organizing the collaboration of projects among staff members is a great way to streamline your processes and ensure that your company is working to its capacity. If you are a business owner that is looking for a way to make your company even more efficient, using Kanban cards may be the answer.
