Central Bank of India, also termed as CBI, established in 1911 and is considered one of the oldest banks across the nation. A government-owned body which is Mumbai based has over 4600+ branches across the country. As the Bank have earned trust and faith of the customers, it promises to provide much better facilities on the go, more than ever.

CBI tends to proffer services like Mobile Banking, Net banking and much more to all the customers holding accounts in the CBI Branches. Such services are much convenient, more comfortable and faster than ever, thus making it immensely commendable and furthermore providing ease of carrying out a variety of financial along with non-financial transaction with ease that too without going to any nearby branch of the Bank. You can do everything online, on the go.

Central Bank of India provides ‘n’ number of facilities that helps the customers carry out whatever kind of transaction they want to, along with with mini-transactions, minute enquires or even look at the transaction statements, it’s that easy with CBI Internet Banking.

Listed below are some of the features that can be performed by a user with CBI Internet Banking.

  1. Balance Check
  2. Cheque Status Enquiry
  3. Funds Transfer to Third Party
  4. Open Accounts Online
  5. Bill Payments
  6. Tax Payments
  7. Money Transfer
  8. Money Transfer to Self-Accounts
  9. Transaction History
  10. Download Account Transactions

But to Use and take advantage of the policies you need to Register for CBI Net Banking. Thus to do that you need to follow specific steps –

Step 1 –

On visiting your nearest CBI branch, you need to collect the Application form for the Net Banking, or else you can visit CBI Official website https://www.centralbank.net.in/jsp/Register.htm for the same.

Step 2 –

You have to fill the form with accurate details and submit it in your native branch where your account is held.

Step 3 –

The Bank will then start the activation process of Net Banking services.

Step 4 –

After the process is complete the Login Password and transaction password, for the Net Banking account are sent to the address registered in the Application, separately.

Step 5 –

On receiving both the passwords, the user needs to give a visit to the native branch where he will be given the User ID.

Step 6 –

Now the customer has a User ID, Login Password and the transaction Password. Using these he can activate Net Banking on his account.

After fetching the User ID and both passwords, the user needs to get started with the Login process of Net Banking Services to begin using the benefits of Net Banking and carry out transactions. For this, he/she needs to follow these steps –

Step 1-

Visit the CBI official portal.

Step 2-

Enter the credential in the input fields, either by hardware keyboard or by Virtual keyboard given on the website.

Step 3-

Click on the Login button, and now you can perform all the transactions, enquiry checks and much more using CBI Net Banking.

After you have successfully earned the CBI Net Banking services, to transfer funds, you need to add the recipient as a beneficiary first, then only you can do so. So to add someone as beneficiary follow these steps –

  1. Log in into your CBI Net Banking Account.
  2. Find ‘Funds Transfer’ option and tap on ‘Add beneficiary’.
  3. Select an option from ‘other bank’ or ‘CBI’.
  4. Enter either the branch name or IFSC code.
  5. Fill the other necessary details thoroughly, and click Submit
  6. After completion of this process, three grid values are entered. If the authentication is successful, you are done with adding a beneficiary.

CBI as Central Bank of India provides you with several options and functionalities that you can carry out from money transfer to checking balance, getting transfer fund’s statements and what not and that too on the go.
