Five hundred million people use Instagram daily. No wonder that this is a huge content sharing platform where everyone can find fascinating photos and videos. Sadly, the official Instagram app doesn’t let download posts, stories, and highlights of other users, but it is possible with 4K Stogram.
What is 4K Stogram?
4K Stogram is a desktop Instagram viewer and downloader available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. The app allows to download photos, videos, stories, and highlights of any Instagram account, including private profiles.
With 4K Stogram, you’ll also be able to back up your Instagram account and import your subscriptions list.
How does the app work?
To start your experience with 4K Stogram and to download any desired Instagram content, download the app for free and log in with your Instagram account. After you’re logged in, you can now start your 4K Stogram exploring journey. Let’s consider all the app features in detail.
Photos and videos download
Instagram is truly a content fair. The app, however, is not designed to let users download posts of other Instagrammers or even their own posts on computers. But sometimes this is so necessary to capture some moments and save them to look through later. 4K Stogram is a solution here.
After you download the app and log in with your Instagram account, you’ll see the main search window. Simply type in a username, hashtag, or location, and the related photos and videos will be displayed on the screen. After the search is over, all the posts will be automatically downloaded on your computer, and a 4K Stogram will create a folder. You can then click “Show in folder” or view a file with your default photo or video viewing app.
4K Stogram offers you three options of posts searching – username, hashtag, and location.
By typing in a username of your friend or favorite celebrity, all the posts will be instantly downloaded on your PC. If you don’t need all of these posts to be downloaded on your device, you can stop the search, and only part of the images and videos will be saved.
If you hover your mouse cursor on any photo, you’ll see the caption and the date it was published on Instagram. If you want to open a post in your default viewer app, on Instagram, want it to be shown in a folder, or share it on Facebook or Twitter, just press on three dots at the right bottom corner of the post. Photos that are set in the carousel are downloaded automatically.
But the username is not a sole option to search for content within 4K Stogram. Search by hashtags lets you download an unlimited amount of posts under a particular hashtag. To do so, enter a specific hashtag of your interest into the search field, and there you have it.
Location is another way to search for Instagram content within 4K Stogram. Just type in any location into the special field – it can be a street name, city, country, or even a name of your favorite restaurant. As soon as you do it, the related content will show up and be downloaded on your PC.
Stories and highlights download
With 4K Stogram, it’s never been easier. Instagram stories are used by more than 250 million users daily, so there’s always something interesting to capture. Instagram allows its users to download their own stories on the phones, but what about downloading stories of other Instagrammers? You can easily do it with the 4K Stogram app.
Before you download stories, make sure that the app is allowed to do it – it can be easily done in settings. After that, type in a username in the search field and get the results. All stories are marked with a circle symbol at the bottom right corner of each post. The app creates two separate subfolders for stories and highlights downloaded within 4K Stogram.
Instagram friends feed view
The feature allows to see your followings’ feed as it you see your own feed on Instagram. To make it work, enter a username and subscribe to a user. Then tapping on the three dots next to a username, choose the required option – subscribe to accounts this user follows. After that, you can view your followings’ feed without following them on Instagram.
Instagram account backup
Instagram tends to make things complicated, and any user surely just once was afraid of getting banned on Instagram or wanted to delete their account. If you have such concerns, you can effortlessly back up your profile with 4K Stogram. To do so, log in with your Instagram account and then subscribe to your own account in settings. Once it’s done, 4K Stogram starts to save your new photos on your PC automatically.
Saved posts download
We usually save the most exciting, memorable, or important posts on Instagram. But what about having them on your computer? If you want to download all the posts you once saved on Instagram, just subscribe to your saved posts in 4K Stogram settings and voila. All the publications are stored on your computer.
