Board games are not new, it’s been in trend since years, but what has changed recently is the mode of game play. Earlier it used to be mostly offline with a board and set of people, but now it’s available online also. In this category, board game come with some form of map or board defining space that other player try to dominate. They usually add pieces to the area or remove an obstacle to win. Some of the common games here are-Small World, Risk, Nanty Narking, and Blood Rage.
#3 Campaign games:
Such games are played solo by following through connected series of events. These are concurrent events, that means the outcome of one event will influence the input of others. These legacy games are often required to make a shift permanently to your game or strategy. Gloomhaven, Pandemic Legacy, Charterstone, Betrayal Legacy, etc. are some of the famous campaign games.
#4 Deckbuilder
Another type of game is Deckbuilder where each player starts with their own set of identical set of cards which players can alter during the play. During this journey, more powerful cards are added to the deck while less powerful are removed. This game sometime collide with the deck construction games. Dominion, Star Realms, Undaunted: Normandy, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle are some examples of deckbuilder games.
These were some of the top kinds of board games. Recently I have discovered some other board’ games for beginner as well. And one of those which I enjoyed the most is – Master chess.

When the game starts, you can select to play against computer or against other players. When you are playing against a computer, you can select the difficulty level from 1, 2, or 3. The first player will control the white piece and the second piece will start with black piece in the board game. The playing board consists of 64 cells and players can move their pieces as per the standard chess rules.
